Minnesota Opportunity Corps members serve one year making a difference in the lives of individuals with multiple barriers to employment and economic self-sufficiency. As an Opportunity Navigator, you will help program participants one-on-one and in group settings set education and career goals, overcome barriers to goal success, increase their employability, find gainful employment/experience related to their field of study, and ultimately strengthen their financial stability.
•The Oppoortunity Navigator will be part of a large Adult Basic Education program which serves nearly 700 students daily. Within that program, the Navigator will join the Job Training and College Readiness team which includes 10 staff members.
•This position serves refugee and immigrant populations; Somali, Hmong, or Spanish language skills are highly preferred, but not required.
•The Opportunity Navigator will work one-on-one and in groups with adult students designing and implementing education and career goals.
